Originally from New Mexico, USA, Laura brings a multidisciplinary background in engineering, data science, and fieldwork across Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and the United States. She has worked on development projects with smallholder farmers and low-income communities, supported renewable energy systems in countries including Ghana, Kenya, and Rwanda, and contributed to data science and product work in sustainable agriculture.
At Vizzuality, she works as a Data Engineer, building human-centered data pipelines that support organizations protecting ecosystems and communities in the face of climate change.
Outside of work, Laura stays grounded through Argentine tango, calisthenics, and contact improvisation, and enjoys learning new skills by doing—whether that’s in the field, in movement, or through meaningful collaboration.
