As part of Vizzuality’s Science team, Ángel combines his data science and research know-how to explore and develop analytical pipelines and visualizations, with a particular focus on biodiversity distribution and ecology projects. This work allows him to continuously grow and “to contribute to society and knowledge,” he says.

Before crossing paths with Vizzuality, Ángel was employed as a data scientist for the banking sector, developing predictive models for client behaviour and fraud detection, following the completion of his PhD in Biology at the Natural Sciences Museum in Madrid.

In his private life, Ángel is a passionate bird watcher and wildlife observer but he dedicates most of his free time to training for triathlons.
